I stamped the images on this card using my Stampin' Up Boatloads of Love set.
This was such a simple card to make. I just tore the "water" pieces to give it that choppy ocean look. I then stamped the boats onto white cardstock, colored and cut them out.
Since the rope on the tug boat and the antenna on the top of the boat were so thin, I just stamped the boats directly onto the base before I glued the boat cut outs onto the card. This way, I didn't have to worry about cutting out those skinny lines. I used my sponge dauber to color in the sky.

Lizzie Anne Designs Out of This World
Check out this fun little card that I made yesterday for my daughter's little friend Cooper. See how the alien appears to be levitating? LOL
I used the new set by Lizzie Anne Designs called Out of This World. Oh, I know I'll get lots of use out of this one!!
This set also comes with a rocket ship, a couple planets and some cute sentiments. Another great thing about these is that they came in a CD case, so I didn't have to figure out how to store them.
They actually inspired me to put some of my other sets in CD cases. I found a box of at least 50 empty CD cases from my college days out in our garage. I was so excited when I found them. They've been that box for years and I had forgotten all about them. I was about to head out to WAl*Mart to go pick some up when my husband reminded me about them. I just had to remove the inserts and pop out the cd holder and they wer good to go! Now I'm organized and it feels great!

Lizzie Anne Once Upon A TIme
I am smitten with my new stamp set by Lizzie Anne Designs called Once Upon A Time. I pieced this card together with some of the stamps from this set. I think that friendly little dragon is adorable!
The clouds came from my Stampin Up Boatloads of Love set.
This card will go to a little girl named Arianna who is in my daughter's preschool class. Another one turning five!

Stamp Oasis Swing Time
Here is something that I made from my Rubbernecker Stamp Oasis Swing Time stamp.
Stamp oasis has several stamps in its fantasy category that look like fairy tale creatures and characters. They are very cute, but there is something (dare I say) creepy about the eyes.
There are several that I would like to order, but I just ordered this one for now. As you may have noticed, the eyes are closed and the smaller girl in the background's eyes don't look like the others in this category.
I might go back and order some more if I can figure out how to tone the hollow eyes down a bit.
Oh, and I really have to share this picture with you. It is of all my new stamps that I got in the mail! Check it out...

Hoppy Birthday!
I've been making quite a few birthday cards lately. Here is one that I made last night. This set is by The Angel Company and is called Hoppy Frogs. TAC stamps are so reasonably priced. This set only cost $7.95 and comes with 8 stamps, including these phrases: "Just for you," "Hoppy Birthday," "Hooray!" and "Thanks."
There are four cute frogs in this set, but this one looks more like it's hopping... or would you say jumping? Isn't it cute?!

Funky Little Card
The Fiskars Threading Water border punch has created quite a buzz online. Michaels has just started to carry these and I grabbed the last one off the shelf on Sunday. I also used my 50% off coupon so I got a great deal on it!
I punched both sides of the center strip with the new punch. It's such a simple punch, but it's so cute!
The stamp that I used came in my TAC Angel kit. Isn't it cute! I used my piercing tool to punch the little holes around the scalloped circle. I find that my Creative Memories Pickup Square is most useful underneath the paper whenever I use my piercing tool. The Pickup Square seems to be self-healing. I don't notice any holes in it after I use it as my poking pad.

A Birthday Milestone
I can't believe my little girl is about to graduate from preschool! One of her friends is having a party to celebrate her 5th birthday. Whew! Taylor will be 5 before we know it too! Time has flown by so quickly with her. My sweet little monkey in the middle!
I used an older CTMH stamp set called Party Favors. I love the way the background turned out. The paper is from The Angel Company.
I stamped Happy Birthday on the inside and gave Taylor some pens and told her to write and draw on the inside of her friend's card. I also let her decorate the envelope. I tend to take over on these kinds of things...LOL.
I did let her slide the blade on the paper trimmer when I was cutting all the pieces out. Whenever she comes to help me she has started to say that she wants to help "for real." She's starting to pick up on me handing her some scrap papers and letting her do a side project while I work on the real thing.

Friendship
I put this card together using one of my new Cuttlebug embossing folders and one of my House Mouse Stamps. I love those little mice!
I alredy had the mouse image stamped, colored and cut out so this card took very little time to make.

How's Everything on Your End?
Hobby Lobby is having a sale on its Cuttlebug dies and embossing folders. I embossed the white background paper with one of my new embossing folders. I then lightly rubbed an ink pad over the raised dots to make the polka dot background.
The stamp that I used is from Clear Dollar Stamps and it is called Charlie Horse. Isn't it great?!

LUV-BUG
Isn't this just the cutest little VW stamp you've ever seen?! Oh, I love it. I stamped about four of these out last night. My daughter colored in a couple while I worked on this one.
This stamp comes from a set called "Sometimes You're the Bug" made by Clear Dollar Stamps. It comes with 14 stamps including the lady bug and flowers stamped out in the accent pieces.

Gerbera Daisy
I just love Gerbera Daisies. Here is a border set that I put together using my TAC Gerbera Daisy stamp. I layered the flower to really make it pop.
I think this is a fun set with all the colors, rhinestone, paper flowers and ribbon. I put it with my eBay auctions. I'll just have to wait & see how it does on there!
One great thing about The Angel Company is that they don't restrict your use of their stamps. Some companies will not allow you to sell anything that uses their images. That's no fun! I like trying to earn back some of the money that I spend.
I used Copic markers to color in the flower petals. I'm still getting the hang of the markers and I love them. Tonight I used the broad tip and it really makes coloring in large areas so much easier!
I bought four new Copics today. Hobby Lobby has them marked 25% off so I basically got one free. Can't beat that! (I also bought four yesterday! LOL)

Little Stinkers
I made some of these cards for my Sunday school kids to give to their Mothers tomorrow. On the inside it says. "Happy Mother's Day Love, Your Little Stinker."
I saw on a forum where someone let their kids decorate candles and I thought it was a really neat idea. I bought some white pillar candles and I have some old Creative Memories markers that I'm going to let them use to draw on the candles.
I used a stamp from the TAC Sweet Skunks set to make this card.

What's Moo?
I was playing with my new stamps from The Angel Company the other night and put this card together. I used my TAC What's Moo stamp set. The paper came from my TAC Brighten My Day Day paper Designer Collection.
The rhinestone that I placed in the center of the flower is a Dollar Tree find.

Hang Loose!
I adore the car in this set. There is one man who occasionally drives around town in one of these woodies and I love it when I get to pass him on the road. We have the Jeep version... an '88 Grand Wagoneer and it is our favorite car to ride around in. My husband hopes to one day buy a really nice one from Wagonmasters some day but the one we have is perfect for now... oil leaks and all! Now, if we can only get more than 8 MPG in it we would be doing great!
The stamps that I used to make this card are The Angel Company Hang Loose. It comes with four different surf board designs, a guy riding a wave, the car of course, sentiments that say "hang loose it's your birthday!", "what's up dude!!", "you're totally righteous dude!" and "heard you wiped out. get well soon." One other stamp that sealed the deal for me when deciding whether or not to get this set is a stamp is actually for the back of my projects. It reads, "Don't throw this away dude! It's totally hand stamped!"
I just used markers and a blending pen to color these. I made the Woody shine with some Liquid Glass.

So Sweet...
The Angel Company truly has some awesome designs. They have this super cute bug line that comes in many different themes. They make this set called So Sweet, The Buzzz, an adorable Buggie Christmas set and a cute Halloween set called Fangtastic.
For this card, I used the snail from my TAC So Sweet stamp set. I made a fantastic birthday card using this set, but I forgot to take a picture of it before I stuffed it into the envelope. I'll have to make another one. These are such fun stamps to use!
I also embellished this with my Marvy Uchida flower punches and this fabulous jumbo brad that I had mixed in with my supplies.
I'm back in the saddle!
I had to buy a new computer today. My old laptop, which was just over one year old quit on me. I took it to the repair shop thinking it just needed a new hard drive but it also turns out that, in addition to the bad hard drive, my mother board was fried. It even had the burn marks on the back to prove it! Thank God it didn't catch fire!
My old computer was a Gateway that I bought from Best Buy. We've bought so many major appliances, computers, cameras and mp3 players there and I always dread the part of the sales pitch where they try to sell you an extended warranty. I didn't buy the warranty for the computer and now I'm wishing I had!
This new computer is a Dell Vostro that I bought from a local computer shop that also offered an extended warranty. I feel good about this purchase for two reasons 1.) I'm supporting the little guy and 2.) I got the warranty on this one!
I have been making cards and will post pictures just as soon as I load my camera software on here. Check back soon!
